About the Data Center
GLOBALHOP operates its network, colocation, dedicated servers, and web hosting services
in a secured datacenter located in Dallas, TX. The datacenter
is powered by multiple electrical grids in the Dallas Fortworth
area. The UPS providing backup power to our datacenter is 6 500KVA
Powerware UPS units, with 90 batteries per unit. Ontop of having
a UPS failsafe for power, there are two onsite generators (1 megawatt,
and 1.5 megawatt) for in the event of a long term power outage.
The datacenter is cooled by (21) 26 ton Data Air AC unit. This
maintains our datacenter's temperature being within operating
conditions for all hardware. Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus(VESDA)
smoke detectors are used to detect fire or smoke in the event
of such occurance. Ontop of the VESDA system, there are also 500
seperate smoke detectors in an integrated system.
About the Network
Our network infrastructure is meshed with redundant gigabit uplinks
to our upstreams. With a fast converging IGP we are able to minimize
downtime and ensure transit services are available over 99.9%
of the time. Further more, the number of hops inside of our AS
is minimized for traffic destined for you via fully meshed IBGP
peerings.
